September Session Actions

Accepted with regrets the resignations of Jeff and Stacy Dewees as assistant Youth Directors. Jeff and Stacy will be moving to Memphis where he will begin his preparation for ordained ministry. They will continue in their present positions until the end of the year.
Approved a request by Dr. Jeff Gordon to come speak to us about the Dickson Community Clinic.
Approved a request by the Boy Scouts to use the church on Nov. 8, for their annual Court of Honor Dinner and on Dec. 5, for a Lock-in.
Approved a request by CPWM to hang a quilt with their theme for the year “A Mustard Seed Faith.”
Approved having the roof on the North side of the church cleaned.
Set October 19^th as the date for all committees to meet and prepare budgets for 2009. This will take place at the Evening worship time.
Voted to reorganize all committees. Sign-up sheets will be placed in the foyer.
Acknowledged CPWM report to Session and expressed appreciation for the report and for all the hard work they do.
Began the process of nominating Elders for the next term.
